Title: USS Shadow NCC-51585
URL: http://www.geocities.com/nickp85/shadow.html
Description: Contains a new and improved Frame based site with music on main page load. A complete database on the ranks used in Starfleet as well as uniforms and ship specs of the Shadow and the shuttles it contains. I am reapplying for the award because I have changed my site and I believe it can a better award
Comments:
1) The site loaded quickly. I liked the ship image on te main page.
Its even personalised with the sims name - cool. The text menu on the left is easy to use and follow. View the history section to see where the ship got its name. The sim awards page is quite impressive covering every aspect of the simming. Other sections include the ship specs (inlcuding all shuttles), crew roster and sim guidelines.
2) This site has improved allot since it was first judged in
September 2000. The test menus have sub menus so as to not clutter the site. It is a well structured site, plenty of sim info available. Extensice specs on the ship and her shuttles. It has a page with starfleet uniforms and ranks pips. You can read up on where the ship has been and what adventures they have undertaken.
3) There is quite allot of trek information in this site. Informative
pages life the Dress Code, Rules and Regulations and Engineering. Well structure menu give the vistor unlimited acces to the site and its contents. An interesting section is the Stories Page. It has numerous zip files that contains trek adventures. It just goes to show that a site can improve its award status with a little work and imagination.
Status: This site was origionally judged on the 25th of September 2000, receiving the Starfleet SILVER award.

Title: Starbase Apollo
URL: Http://embark.to/apollo
Description: This site is the home of the Starbase Apollo PBEM-RPG.
Comments:
1) Well organised and designed web-site featureing allot of
information about the sim. Page layout is clear and easy to follow. Interesting concept behind this sim, year is 2398 - just after a second war with the dominion and has seen starfleet introduce the Field Marshall rank. It has sections on departments from Academy to Science, JAG to Intelligence, Medical to Command.
2) Simple, efficent design and navigation is wasy to follow. Plenty of information about command positions. It has a crew only section, very seldom have I come accross one on a sim site - nice feature for group members. The Diplomatic section has a listing of actual treaties and galaxy maps.
3) Took me quite a while to get through the site. Its jam-packed with information of department duties and responsibilites. Rank and uniform images are also contained within the site. A huge database called the 'Engineering Archive' has detailed info on
starfleet technology. The site also has a listing of ships within the group and the crew assigned to them.

Title: Task Force 9
URL: http://tf9.iwarp.com
Description: Task Force 9 - Guardians of the Gate

Task Force 9 is a rare Task Force in that it is the first stable Federation presence in the Gamma Quadrant. The Federation has recently admitted a colony Altor II. Deep Space 14 is orbiting this colony, and the Task Force will be working with a new founded race named The Order. We will be working hand in hand with various ships from other Task Forces specifically SEARCH, and Gray Mist. The ships in Task Force 9 will be setting a presence in the Gamma Quadrant, mapping it, discovering new races, and exploring the still
yet unknown Gamma Quadrant.

Comments:
1) This is a well organised site. Allot of thought and work went into it. The LCARS style menu system is impressive. The layout is easy to follow and all page load quickly, giving rise to good blend of text and images. It has links to the different vessels assigned to the task force. You also have access data on a new alien species, 'The Order'.
2) Nice design. The menus are interactive and only load up once, which is good as this speeds up page loads considerably. Page content is quite interesting, I found the data on the new alien race to be of particilar interest. Other links include command listing, tf9 forum and the portal.
3) The site has quite a few personalised graphics, showing that the designer really put the time and effort into its design. the menu system works well with the frames. For thos that have browsers that dislike frames, there is a text version of the site available too.

Description: The USS Tornado is the official web site for the USS Tornado Star
Trek sim and acts as an informational database for those players on the USS Tornado sim  as well as star Trek role players in general.
Comments:
1) Very creative design and LCARS interface on this site. On the main page an image map will load, which give a real Trek feal to the site. The image is quick to load and so does not affect page load times. It has a number of interesting sections, among them are the 'database', 'player points' and 'hall of honor'.
2) This sim has a points based promotion system, explained in the 'regulations' section. Impressive design that is held throughout
the site. Cool picture of Tornado on the index page and also an interesting looking crew picture above the LCARS controls.
3) The site is for the most part complete, there are still a few to be added. But the sections that are there are very good resources
of information. You can get detailed specs on the Akira class, a wide selection of ship images (both internal and external) and both a rank chart and starfleet uniform images.

2) The majority of the graphics are personalised for this group and are origionals. This shows that time and effort went into its
